As many of you know, I have been working in the travel industry since 1994. For a number of years I have been travelling throughout India in order to identify new tourist destinations. In addition to this I have also travelled to various parts of the world; Europe, The Gulf countries, Nepal and many other areas.
I have provided services both for individual & escorted group tours to Rajasthan, Kerala and other parts of India and have many satisfied clients from the U.K, U.S.A, Spain and France. Those of you who have travelled with me will be able to confirm that the service I offer makes the holiday run smoothly and this ultimately makes the whole visit more enjoyable.
October 2010
Based on my experience and expertise, I would like to take a small group with me explore Rajasthan for two and a half / three weeks in October 2010. This trip will take place during India’s most religious light Festival “Dewali”. You will get the opportunity to look closely at how this festival is celebrated traditionally by Indians in magical Rajasthan. The trip will offer a very varied itinerary including; looking at handicrafts and textiles, visiting desert villages, wild life sanctuaries, camel, elephant and boat rides and exploring some of the stunning forts, palaces and cities that make Rajasthan unique.
As a further possibility we could spend a day or two in Delhi exploring and getting to know the city and or visit Agra to see the Taj Mahal, which is one of India’s most magnificent buildings.
As an optional addition for those of you who may have more time to spend in India and after finishing the group tour I can offer the following;
An optional Individual tour to Goa and Kerala travelling from Rajasthan or in reverse the same trip but starting from Kerala.
February 2011
As a complete contrast I am proposing to explore the Southern part of India for two and a half / three weeks in February 2011. This trip would involve following India’ most heady temple trail; Kancheepuram, Mahabalipuram, Chidambaram, Tanjore, Madurai and finally Kerela.
The Southern area despite being India’s most densely populated region has it own distinctive charm. Travelers are drawn to Kerela by its attractive palm beaches whilst the backwaters beckon the visitor to catch a glimpse of Kerelian village life. The festivals are marked by great elephant marches, snake boat races and colorful Kathakali dances. Huge advances have been made in terms of the level of education on offer plus an enviable level of health care which has now given Kerela a very high reputation and one which is an example to be followed elsewhere in India. Indeed Kerela was selected by “National Geographic Traveler Magazine” as one of its fifty destinations one should visit in the lifetime.
I have found from past experience that the most enjoyable way to discover Rajasthan and the Southern part of India is to travel with a small group of friends and someone like myself who knows the country and its people inside and out.
Each person is responsible for their own international flight and securing visas. Once you are India, it’s up to me to organize a fabulous trip for you ….and it will be much cheaper than using an international travel agent who cannot personally tailor your trip and therefore cannot know the most cost effective way of planning it.
